One for all: first combined AC and DC rapid charging system for electrical vehicles in Berlin
Berlin’s first charging station to offer rapid AC and DC charging at a single source with the combined charging system has been launched.
The first combined AC and DC rapid charging station is now available in Berlin. The launch took place on 5 November 2013 at Carmeq GmbH in Berlin-Charlottenburg.

A major milestone has been achieved on the road towards global e-mobility: the combined charging system, the universal charging system for electric vehicles, has become a reality. Visitors to the VDI Congress “Electronic Systems for Motor Vehicles” got their first taste of the system in Baden-Baden on 16 and 17 October.
Theme night: looking beyond the rim of the tea cup
Under the banner of “The Challenges of Future Mobility”, Carmeq and the Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft und Technologie GmbH invited guests to an informal exchange of ideas and expertise on “intermodal transport and new control concepts”. The response was very good: on 4 September twenty-five experts from notable Berlin-based businesses in different branches of industry convened at Carmeq to exchange experiences in a relaxed atmosphere.
Carmeq provides Technical Manager and extends the support functions for AUTOSAR
Since 1 July 2013, Carmeq has been expanding project support for the AUTOSAR development partnership. The Carmeq AUTOSAR team has the overall responsibility for the support functions project management, specification management and technical infrastructure.

The Senator will use the visit to hear about innovative projects for the future in the automotive sector. For example, new operating concepts for vehicles will be presented to Cornelia Yzer.
Prize money for the eCarTec2012 Award donated for dedicated young people
The prize money of EUR 7,500 for the eCarTec2012 Award in the category “Energy, infrastructure, connection technology” was donated jointly by the award winners – the ‘Charging Interface Initiative’, Carmeq, Phoenix Contact and Rema – to the Deutsche JuniorAkademie Berlin “Humboldt auf Scharfenberg”. The money from the innovation competition will thus be put to good use for knowledge-hungry young people.
Carmeq in contact with research and industry
“SE 2013” is the most important conference for software engineering in the German-speaking world and will take place from 26 February 2013 to 1 March 2013 in Aachen. This year, Carmeq will give a presentation entitled “Koevolution von Modellen, Metamodell und Tools in der Weiterentwicklung des AUTOSAR-Standards“ (Co-evolution of models, meta model and tools in the further development of the AUTOSAR standard).
Carmeq involved in series development for Volkswagen
Since mid-2011, customers of the VW Group can order Easy Open as an additional extra in more and more different models. The prerequisite for the Easy Open function is a keyless entry system, where the remote key is detected and the vehicle opens automatically as your hand approaches the door handle. When the Easy Open system is installed and the remote key is operated around the rear of the vehicle, the boot can be opened with a kick-like leg motion below the rear bumper.
Carmeq has been involved in the group-wide project since the beginning of 2010.
New brand design underlines commitment to performance
Berlin, 18 February 2013: Today marks the launch of a new brand design for Carmeq GmbH, a member of the Volkswagen Group that specialises in consulting and development services for the automotive industry. The redesign of the logo went hand in hand with a fundamental overhaul of the company’s corporate design spanning all media.
